Mary Katheryn Wells, 91, of Minford, passed away Thursday, March 17, 2016 at Minford Retirement Center. Born June 28, 1924 in Lucasville, a daughter of the late Ed and Hazel Fullerton Walls, she was a Valley High School graduate Class of 1942 and a Clerk for the Scioto County Sheriff's Office with 20 years of service. She was a member of the Ohio Republican Party and a member of Stockdale United Methodist Church. She is survived by three sons, Jack (Janie) Wells of Lucasville, Jim (Susan) Wells of Beaver, and Joe (Susan) Wells of Minford; five grandchildren, Nikki (Steve) Spencer, Tiffany (Steven) Harris, Tara (Jimmy) Byrd, Tanya (Brooks) Knechtly, and Tasha (Mitch) Cody; 13 great grandchildren; one brother, Harold Walls of Wheelersburg, and two sisters, Lorraine Rickey of Mansfield and Jean Taylor of Portsmouth. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lowell R. Wells on August 11, 2011 who she married April 22, 1944; five brothers, Charles Walls, Ralph Walls, Donald Walls, Paul Walls and Marion Walls, and three sisters, Ruth King, Louise Blakeman, and Janet Walls. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 20, 2016 at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford with Pastor Dennis Bell officiating. Burial will be at Stockdale Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Saturday and one hour prior to the service on Sunday.
