Michael Loring Slusher, 76 of Stockdale passed away Thursday, February 3, 2022 at SOMC. He was born July 20, 1945 in Portsmouth, a son of the late Hettie Deemer, and was a member of Laborer's Local #83. He loved hunting, card shoots, and to talk to his friends on the phone.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Thelma Barnett Slusher; three children, Michael Slusher, Jr., Michelle (Nick) Engelsman, Matt (Holly) Slusher; three grandchildren, Micah, Marcus, Lily; one great grandson, Brantley, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by four sisters, Janet McGlone, Veda Deemer, Christine King, Donna Jean Deemer, and his son-in-law, Joey Alley.

A funeral service will be conducted at 6:00 p.m. Friday, February 11, 2022 at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford with Terry McBee officiating. Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. prior to the service. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home to help cover funeral expenses.
