Mildred "Mid" Mae Messer, 90, of Lucasville, passed away Thursday, July 20, 2017 at Heartland of Portsmouth. Born September 4, 1926 in Scioto County, a daughter of the late Andrew Jackson and Elizabeth Nichols Payne, she was 1945 graduate of Clay High School and a former employee of Mitchellace and Selby's in Portsmouth. She is survived by five daughters, Pam (Larry) Snyder of Portsmouth, Sandra Charles of Orlando, FL, Barbara (Gene) Pender of Clearwater, FL, Kimberly Childers of Flatwoods, KY, Mitzie (Tom) Sesock of Mobile, AL; three sons, Aaron Green of Rockport, TX, Brady Messer of Raiford, FL, Gary (Sherry) Messer of Lucasville; one sister, Lucille Martin of Fort Myers, FL, and she was loved by many grandchildren and great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Brady Messer, and two sons, Frank Green, Jr. and Tim Green. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 24, 2017 at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford with Pastor Ed Cox officiating. Burial will be at McKendree Cemetery.
