Mylia Jean Powell, 67, of Columbus passed away Monday, November 6, 2017 at Pleasant Hill Manor in Piketon. Born August 11, 1950 in Scioto County, a daughter of the late Ray Ellsworth and Thelma Marie (Shaffer) Powell, she had worked for the FBI and Health and Human Services in Columbus. She is survived by a brother, Richard (Anne) Powell of Minford; a sister-in-law, Ruth Powell of West Jefferson; three nephews, Duane (Theresa) Powell of West Jefferson, Lee (Christy) Powell of Minford, Brooks Powell of Minford, and several great nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Ray Powell. Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Thursday, November 9, 2017 at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Minford.
