Nina Mae McKenzie, 84, of Waverly, passed away Saturday, April 15, 2017 at Adena Health System in Chillicothe. Born June 4, 1932 in Painesville, Ohio, a daughter of the late Clarence Smitley and Maude Mae Jones, she was a former employee of White Castle and was a courier for Pony Express. She is survived by three daughters, Darlene (Johnie) Ruby of Minford, Tammie (Brian) Fritz of Lucasville, Sara (Aaron) Graves of Chillicothe; fourteen grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren, and six step great grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul McKenzie; three sons, Charles, Donald and James Smith, and three brothers and four sisters. A memorial service will be conducted at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford with Aaron Graves officiating.
