Octava (Brown) Bevis, 93, of Wheelersburg, passed away Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at SOMC Hospice in Portsmouth. She was born April 11, 1922 in Floyd County, KY, a daughter of the late William and Cordia (Elam) Brown. Octava is survived by one brother, Allen Brown of Ypsilanti, Michigan; two nieces, Patty Reece, JoAnne Cooper; two nephews, William Brown, Rodney Brown, and special friends, Byron and Kathleen Randolph. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Bevis, and one nephew, John Brown. Friends may call at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. Saturday with a graveside service following at Scioto Burial Park in McDermott, with Pastor Pete Shaffer officiating.
