Raymond Lee Burchett, 73, of Minford passed away Saturday, July 1, 2017 at SOMC Hospice Center in Portsmouth. Born December 18, 1943 in Scioto County, a son of the late Robert Lee and Pearl (Logan) Burchett, he was a 1962 graduate of Minford High School, member of Harvest Chapel Community Church in Sciotoville, and a retired bus drive, custodian, and grounds keeper for Minford Local Schools. He is survived by his wife, Mary Judith "Judy" (Dingess) Burchett; three sons, R. Brian (Paula) Burchett, Robert L. (Linda Koenig) Burchett, Jake (Alyssa) Burchett all of Minford; a daughter, Rhonda "Lainey" Jackson of Lucasville; six grandchildren, Michelle (Jared) Canter, Aaron (Randi) Fenton, Aryn Brown, Chanan Brown, Wesley Jackson, Christian Jackson; eight great grandchildren; two sisters, Marilyn Jean Salyers of Niles, OH, Donna Faye Venus of Parma, OH, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Burley Burchett and E. Halcard Burchett. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 6, 2017 at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford with Pastor Harold Cox and Pastor Christopher Preast officiating. Burial will be at Burchett Family Cemetery in Minford. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and one hour prior to the service on Thursday.
