Raymond Paul "Shorty" Nunley, 71 of Portsmouth passed away Monday, September 12, 2022 at SOMC. He was born June 18, 1951 in Portsmouth, a son of the late Raymond Lafe and Mildred Irene Griffith Nunley, he was a 1970 graduate of Portsmouth High School, retired from Northern & Southern Railroad, and was a U.S. Army veteran. Shorty was an avid Browns fan and was the life of the party. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Grace McCallister Nunley; his children, Shane Nunley, Kelly (Jeff) Duduit, Dan (Robin) Keeton, Doug (Tresa) Keeton, Rob (Jessica) Keeton; a grandson, Shawn Keeton, who he raised; sixteen additional grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; his brothers and sisters, Marta Rolfe, Iva Barnett, Fred (Nancy) Nunley, Sharma Storey, Jim (Cindy) Nunley; a sister-in-law, Sue Nunley; his dog Buddy, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Bob Nunley; a daughter-in-law, Rhonda Nunley; and a great granddaughter, Abigail.
