Robert E. Sanders, Jr., 48 of Portsmouth passed away Saturday, March 23, 2024 at his home. He was born February 28, 1976 in Sandusky, Ohio, a son of Linda (Brant) Sanders and the late Robert E. Sanders, Sr., he was an ironworker, and did construction work.

Bobby didn't know a stranger. Him and his wife did meals to go for everyone for all major Holidays. He always had an open door policy for his friends and family. He would literally give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. Bobby hated to dress up, so come as you are to see him. In lieu of flowers we are asking you to bring a Fun Bobby story to share.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Cathy Cooper Sanders; seven children, Zackary Sanders, Allie Sanders, Andie Sanders, Kennedy Duckson, Coey Duckson, Kayla Sanders, Alexander Sanders; seven grandchildren, and five brothers, Jimmy (Chrissy) Sanders, Doug (Kelly) Sanders, Brad (Cassidy) Sanders, Jason Sanders, and Jeremy Sanders.

A memorial service will be conducted at 5:00 p.m. Friday, March 29, 2024 at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford. Friends may call from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. prior to the service.
