Rolland Grant Hammond, 79, of Lucasville, passed away Monday, December 5, 2016 at his residence. Born February 28, 1937 in Portsmouth, Ohio, a son of the late Grant and Ada (Chapman) Hammond, he was retired owner operator of D & H Construction. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy (Carter) Hammond, whom he married on August 15, 1976; two daughters, Ronda (Keith) Hammond, Teri Ruby; grandson, Grant Anderson; granddaughters, Yolanda Burgos, Donna Bush; nine great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four sisters, Mary Webb, Betty Hansgen, Jean Henson, Marie Shuter, and a brother, Kendall Hammond. Funeral services will be conducted Noon Friday, December 9, 2016 at graveside at Rosemount Cemetery, with Maurice Pierce officiating. Burial will be in Rosemount Cemetery in Rosemount.
