Ronald Keith Parker, 71 of Portsmouth passed away Thursday, March 9, 2023 at SOMC Hospice. He was born August 25, 1951 in Wheelersburg, to the late Woodrow and Altha Warren Parker.  Ron passed peacefully through this life with his children by his side, and was welcomed home by his best friend and eldest son in Heaven. A most beautiful ending to his life here, on earth. His love and devotion to his children, was obvious to anyone who knew him. Ron was a single father who worked endlessly to provide for his family as a Car Hauler for Allied Systems in Marion, Ohio; a job that he loved and missed from the moment he retired. Ron took pride in his work and was awarded many times over the years for his skills and dedication. He was union proud and thankful for his Teamster family and career.

He is survived by one daughter, Marissa Parker (Randy Marshall); one son, Jesse Parker; two grandchildren, Madison Gill, Leiam Parker; two sisters, Elaine Lentz, Kaye Wedebrook, and one brother, Gary Parker. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Jotham Lee Parker; two brothers, Wells Parker, Bubby Parker, and two sisters, Phyllis Knight and Shelia Parker.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 12, 2023 at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford. Burial will be in White Gravel Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from Noon to 2:00 p.m. prior to the service. Online condolences may be sent to www.edafh.com.
