Ruby "Peanie" Allen, 93 of Minford passed away Sunday, January 16, 2022 at Concord Nursing & Rehab Center in Wheelersburg. She was born March 13, 1928 in Scioto County to the late Jay Arthonia and Anna Hale Chandler. She was a former employee of Mercy Hospital, Williams Shoe Factory and was a member of Union Free Will Baptist Church.

She is survived by one daughter, Jill Pinson; two grandsons, David (Amy) Pinson, Jeff (Lorenda) Pinson; four great grandchildren, Braylee Alayne (Jason) Depugh, Caleb Allen (Emily) Pinson, Jeri Elaine Pinson, Mikayla Raychel Pinson; two great great grandchildren, Briley Kirkbride, Ruby Elle Depugh, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Laman L. Allen on August 25, 1994 whom she married December 18, 1945; three sisters, Wilba L. Blackburn, Flossie Cunningham, Josephine Chandler, and one brother, Harry Chandler.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 22, 2022 at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Franklin Furnace.
