Mary Ruth Walker, 92, of Clarktown, passed away Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at SOMC Hospice. Born January 12, 1924 in Fleming, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Marion W. and Lillian B. Gardner Turner and was a nurse at Southern Hills. She was a member of Willow Garden Club, a member of the Lucasville Order of the Eastern Star #495, and a member of Grace Baptist Church. She is survived by one son, Gary Walker of Hartland, MI; three grandsons; two granddaughters; three great grandsons; two great granddaughters; two brothers, Charles R. Turner of Cincinnati, Donald E. Turner of Cincinnati, and one sister, Alice Pfeffer of Urbana, IL. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph E. Walker on September 17, 1997 whom she married August 9, 1945; one son, David Walker, and two brothers, William Turner and James C. Turner, and one sister, Jean White. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 27, 2016 at Grace Baptist Church with Pastor Scott Duncan officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Franklin Furnace. Friends may call at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Thursday and one hour prior to the service on Friday at the church.
