Sandra K. Lykins, 75, of Lucasville, passed away on Thursday, August 20, 2026, at SOMC Hospice. She was born on June 24, 1951, in Portsmouth, Ohio, a daughter of the late Raymond and Dorothy (Royster) Dummitt. She was a pharmacy tech for The Wright Pharmacy in South Shore, and babysat for many years. Sandra’s life was marked by compassion, strength, and quiet dignity throughout her years. Her gentle presence, kindness, and unwavering support offered comfort to all who had the pleasure of knowing her. She attended Living Faith Nazarene Church.
She is survived by her husband, Donald Lykins; one son, Donnie (Tonya) Lykins; one daughter, Teonda (Joe) Wright; five grandchildren, MacKenzie (David) Crosby, Macy (Ethan) Adkins, Alex Wright, Ashlee Lykins, Tyler Lykins; one great granddaughter, Joanna Crosby; four sisters, Janet (Roy) Lundy, Diann (Bill) Hagedorn, Connie Horn, Phyllis Walker; her brother-in-law, Bob Dawson, and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Chester Dummitt, Darrell Dummitt, Sam Dummitt, Teddy Dummitt; her sister, Carolyn Dawson, and brothers-in-law, Ray Walker and Mark Horn.
Sandra’s life was filled with everyday moments that revealed her character: moments of laughter, thoughtful gestures, and a steadfast dedication to those she loved. Her memory will remain cherished by all who knew her.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, August 22, 2026 at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford with Pastor Wayne Searls and Ricky Egbert officiating. Burial will be at Lykins-Wheeler Cemetery in Lucasville. Visitation will be Saturday at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. prior to the service.
