Shawn Paul Colley, 50 , of Minford passed away Tuesday, February 6, 2024. He was born September 5, 1973 in Portsmouth, a son of David Lee (Pam) Colley, and Brenda Kay Collier(Ron) Barker. He was a 1992 Minford High School graduate and was an engineer for the N&S Railway. Shawn was a Teamster and a member of the Brotherhood of Locomotives.

He is survived by his wife, Mikell Rase; three sons, Andrew Brian Colley, Derek Anthony (Kayla) Colley, Jack Anderson Colley; one step daughter, Presley Jane Boggs; three grandchildren, Addilynn Grace Colley, Harper Kay Colley, McKinley Reign Colley; one brother Michael Colley; two step sisters, Shantell (Flint) Poolaw, Jessica ( Charles) Williams ; nieces and nephews, Mikayla, Cole, Calista, Elbie, Addysen, Landon, Sam, and Lana; a special cousin, Jamie Collier, and a special friend, Greg Shirey.

Shawn's life was full of hard work, many adventures, and unending love for his family. His talents were endless and he leaves a legacy of projects behind. You could always find him outdoors, and his greatest peace was found at a campfire on the hill with his family surrounding him.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 10, 2024 at Erwin-Dodson-Allen funeral Home in Minford with Everett Martin officiating. Burial will be at families discretion.  Visitation for family and friends at the funeral home will be from noon to 2:00 p.m. Saturday prior to the service.
