Sonja Rae Ginn Brooks born July 8, 1960 passed from this life into the arms of Jesus Friday, May 29, 2015 at 8:06 a.m. Her testimony will live on forever in the lives she touched. She expressed her love and trust for her Savior to everyone she met. Sonja is survived by her husband, John Brooks; a son, Matt (Courtney) Brooks; a daughter, Amy Napier; four precious grandchildren, Matthew Dylan Brooks, Kade Glockner, Sydney Napier and Presley Brooks; her parents, Ray Ginn, Jr. and Goldie Shumway Ginn; one sister, Anita Ayers and, two brothers, Thomas Ginn and Scott Ginn. Her one desire was to serve the Lord. Sonja was a member of Berean Baptist Church where she worked in the Children's ministries, cooked for visiting missionaries and ran the AWANA store. Most important, she was a prayer warrior. One of her many favorite Bible passages was Is. 41:13. For I, the Lord thy God, will hold thy right hand saying unto thee. Fear not; I will help thee. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at Berean Baptist Church in Sciotoville with Pastor Tim Goodwin officiating. Burial will be in Bennett Cemetery in Minford.
