Obituary

Charles Martin "Charley" Lute, Sr., 72, of Lucasville passed away Sunday, February 19, 2017 at the Lake Wales Medical Center in Lake Wales, Florida. He was born January 13, 1945 in Scioto County, to the late Doran Edgar and Mae Lute. Charley was retired from Millwright Local Union #1519 and a member of the Masonic Lodge #465 in Lucasville, the American Legion in Portsmouth and the Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America. He was an avid fan of Auto Racing. Charles is survived by his wife of 52 years, Jane Lute; one daughter, Shelli (Sonny) Boland of Stout; three sons, Charles M. Lute, Jr. of Lucasville, Scott E. (Kim) Lute of Lucasville, and Joshua A. Lute of Monroe Falls; two sisters, Donna Anderson of Price, UT and Mary Jane Lute of Minford; two brothers, William Lute of Lucasville and Edgar Lute of Columbus; seventeen grandchildren and five great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Larry Lute. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Friday, February 24, 2017 at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford. Burial will be at Lute Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday and one hour prior to the service on Friday. Masonic services will be conducted at 8:00 p.m. Thursday by Lucasville Masonic Lodge #465. Military graveside rites will be conducted by James Dickey Post No. 23 American Legion.
