Tex C. "TC" Kerns, Jr., 37, of Byers, Colorado passed away Monday, July 23, 2018. TC was born August 17, 1980 in Ironton, Ohio to the proud parents Tex and Kathy Kerns. TC spent most of his life traveling the hills, hollers and broken roads of the Ohio Valley and then moving West discovering the Colorado plains and mountains. He had many hobbies and God given talents. Mr. fixit, protector, prankster, comedian, goat wrangler, lover, fighter, keeper of secrets, friend, but most importantly father, husband, son, brother and uncle. In September of 2002 TC met his wife, Ashlee. They quickly fell in love and married February 13, 2006 and they had two children, Tristan Cab September 16, 2003 and Caidence Maddox July 8, 2005. TC loved his children most, but had a kind spirit that attracted both children and animals alike. He was the life of the party and greeted those he met with a charming grace and million dollar smile. TC is survived by his wife, Ashlee; son, Tristan C. Kerns; daughter, Caidence M. Kerns; father, Tex C. Kerns, Sr.; mother, Kathy (Carl) Reese; sister, Pebbles (Robert) Timberman; brother, Jesse J. Kerns; nephews, Tyler Kerns, Leeum Kerns; Easton Kerns; one special niece, Birhana Timberman; and countless uncles, aunts, cousins and friends. TC was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, William G. & Emma Kerns; maternal grandparents, James & Josie Harper, and a nephew Austin Kerns. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Monday, July 30, 2018 at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford. Friends may call from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. prior to the service.
