The earthly life created and lived by Herman and Tharlene Salisbury has come to an end. Tharlene gained eternal peace a few short months after losing her partner of 67 years. She resided at Minford Retirement Center before her passing June 7, 2017. Born March 25, 1930 she was very proud being the daughter of Rev. Thomas (Susie) Colegrove. Although Tharlene was one of ten children, she is survived by only one sister, Kathryn Thompson of the Dayton area. Her life revolved around two children, Joey and Susan, five grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren. Tharlene spent most of her life as a homemaker but often traveled with Herman as their lives were committed to the family business, Dial Construction Co..
If you were a part of Herman and Tharlene’s story, you were very special to them. Thank you for loving them. They took much pride in living and thriving in Stockdale and the Pike County area.
Our family would like to thank SOMC Hospice and Minford Retirement Center for Mom’s wonderful care. When we needed a home away from home, the staff at Minford Retirement Center welcomed us into their family with their amazing love.
We felt the most appropriate way to honor Mom’s life is to remember what she cherished. At the convenience of our family we will hold a celebration in "The Holler" where Mom spent her life so proud of the Colegrove legacy. Arrangements are under the direction of Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford. Online condolences may be sent to www.edaf.com.
