Timothy Lee Porter, 63, of Minford passed away Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at SOMC. Born January 12, 1953 in Portsmouth, a son of Emelene Blackburn Porter and the late Raymond Porter; he was a Class 4 Operator and Waste Water Administrator for Union Rome Sewer in Lawrence County, Ohio. He was a board member of Minford Squad 3, a member of Aurora Masonic Lodge No. 48 in Portsmouth and was of the Baptist faith. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 43 years, Carol Wheeler Porter; one son, Matt (Ashley) Porter of Minford; one daughter, Amy (Matt) Everett of Winston Salem, NC; five grandchildren, Nevaeh, Maddox and Quinley (who is due in June) Porter and Elise and Landon Everett; two sisters, Peggy Vallandingham of Minford, Kimberly (Ken) Felty of Florida, and two brothers, Rick (Carolyn) Porter of Minford and Curt Porter of Portsmouth. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by one brother-in-law, Bob Vallandingham; a nephew, Andrew Porter, and his father-in-law, Leonard C. Wheeler. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 26, 2016 at Minford Bible Baptist with Pastor Brett McGraw officiating. Burial will be at Wheeler Family Cemetery in Minford. Friends may call at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. Friday and one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the church. Masonic services will be conducted by Aurora Lodge No. 48 at 8:30 p.m. Friday. In lieu of flower donations can be made to American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
