Vernon Lee Conley, 75 of Lucasville passed away Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at SOMC Hospice. Born November 15, 1945 in Portsmouth, a son of the late Isaac Lawson and Mattie Mae Plummer Conley, he retired from N&S Railway, was an ordained Christian Baptist Minister and was pastor of several area churches. Vernon enjoyed running beagles, outdoors and spending time with his grandkids.

He is survived by his wife, Beverly Lintz Conley; two sons, Bryan (Shonacy) Conley, Brent (Elizabeth) Conley; one daughter, Brenda (Tony Marcum) Conley-Poplin; five grandchildren, Bethany Conley, Hannah Conley, Isaac Poplin, Sarah Poplin, Bryson Conley; one sister, Janet Charles, and one sister-in-law, Mary Conley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother and six sisters.

Graveside services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, March 20, 2021 at Rosemount Cemetery with Pastor Brian Baer officiating.
