Viola L. Brumfield, 84 of Minford, passed away Friday, April 7, 2023 at Hill View Retirement Center in Portsmouth. She was born January 4, 1939 in Kentucky, a daughter of the late Pleas and Sylvia Lyon Fyffe. She was a homemaker, Sales Clerk at Marting's Department Store and attended Minford Bible Baptist Church.

She is survived by one daughter, Julie (Chris) Downey; one son, Jeff (Wendy) Lewis; ten grandchildren, Molly Downey, Gavin Downey, Ellie Downey, Keith Lewis, Jennifer Warnock, Ryan Lewis, Kyle Lewis, Amber Lewis, Owen Lewis, Karli Lewis; seven great grandchildren, and two sisters, Florence Myers and Gwen Trout. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Brumfield on December 13, 2013; one son, Randy Lewis, and two sisters, Beatrice Penix, and Leatrice Dawson.

Funeral services will be conducted at Noon Monday, April 10, 2023 at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford with Pastor Brett McGraw officiating.
