Virgie Lena Tackett, 71 of Lucasville passed away Thursday, December 2, 2021 at her residence. Born February 23, 1950 in Portsmouth, a daughter of the late Donald Edward and Rosetta Stevens Cottrell, she was a homemaker and attended Central Church of Christ.

She is survived by one son, Randy (Lillian) Tackett; one daughter, Amy (Robert) Pederson; four grandchildren, Hannah Grace Tackett, Brenden Oliver, Robert Pederson, Matthew A. (Ellie) Tackett; three great grandchildren, Raeliegh Oliver, James Randall Tackett, Elizabeth Tackett; two sisters, Donna Tackett, Alice Elrod, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Randall "Randy" Edward Tackett on June 18, 2019; one brother, Donald Cottrell, Jr., and one sister, Diana George.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford with Randy Tackett officiating.
