Virginia Ruth Vest (Comer), 82, of Minford, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth. Born January 27, 1933 a daughter of the late Delbert W. and American Ann (Yates) Copas, she was a homemaker, loving wife, mother and grandmother and an inspiration to all that knew her. She attended Mt. Carmel Community Church near Minford. She is survived by a son, John (Pamela) Vest of Minford; 6 daughters, Virginia (Wayne) Blackburn of Portsmouth, Nannie (Kenneth) Parsons of Minford, Frances (Rocky) Williams of Minford, Vivian (Steve) Miller of Minford, Mona (Russell) Garrett of Minford, Regina Hodge of Portsmouth; 22 grandchildren; 41 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren; two sisters, Edith (Anuiel) Pitts of Minford, Martha Trockelman of New Vienna. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Vest; three sisters, Eileen King, Mary Jane Robinson, Agnes Hulbert; and two brothers, Bill Copas, Bob Copas, a son-in-law, Ronnie Hodge; 2 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, June 28, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford with Pastor Jimmy Dummitt and Pastor Roy Chaffin officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens in Franklin Furnace. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Saturday and one hour prior to the service on Sunday.
