Obituary

Wesley Cheney Gammon, 95, of Lucasville, passed away Wednesday, June 8, 2016. He was born March 29, 1921 in Scioto County to the late George and Elizabeth Jenkins Gammon, he was a mechanic for Houston Pontiac in Portsmouth, was retired chemical operator from Goodyear Atomic Corp. in Piketon, was a member of Living Waters Fellowship, and was a US Navy WWII veteran. He is survived by his children Linda Howard of Lancaster, Dean (Ginger) Gammon of Greenup, Diana (Bill) Alley of Lucasville, David (Sharon) Gammon of Cincinnati; 13 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Ilene Munn Gammon on December 8, 2015; one sister, Gail Slusher and one brother, Glenn Gammon. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Sunday, June 12, 2016 at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford with Pastor Dicky L. Butts officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens near Franklin Furnace. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Sunday. Online condolences may be sent to www.edafh.com.
