Wilma Jean Underwood, 87 , of Wheelersburg went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at SOMC Hospice. She was born on December 25, 1933 in Scioto County, a daughter of the late Bert Stanley and Kizzie Ann Chandler Lintz. She was a 1952 graduate of Valley High School where she met her husband Uel. They wed in Liberty, Indiana on December 13, 1954. Together, they were the original owners of The Shake Shoppe in New Boston, Ohio.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Uel Lowell Underwood, four brothers; Albert Lintz, Carl Lintz, Charles Lintz, Lavon Lintz, and five sisters; Herma Adkins, Sally Cantrell, Edna Newell, Charlene White, and Juanita Gray.
She is survived by one son, David (Wendee) Underwood, one granddaughter, Hailee (Chris) Allen, and three sisters, Helen Raike, Betty Childers, and Norma Adams.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 2, 2021 at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford with Pastor George Vastine officiating. Burial will be at Lucasville Cemetery in Lucasville. Friends may call at the funeral home from Noon to 1:00 p.m. prior to the service. Per CDC guidelines and governor recommendations, everyone is asked to wear a mask and practice proper social distancing procedures and guidelines. Online condolences may be sent to www.edafh.com.
