Barbara Jean Jackson

Barbara Jean Jackson, 89, of Lucasville passed away Saturday, May 24, 2025 at Piketon Pavillion in Piketon. She was born May 14, 1936 in Johns County, Mississippi, a daughter of the late Joseph Ransom and Jenah (Hill) Pickering, and was a former housekeeper for Greenbriar Convalescent Center in Wheelersburg. Barbara was a member of Grace Baptist Church, recently attended Fairview Missionary Baptist Church and was a member of Willow Garden Club. 

She is survived by two sons, Steven (Janice) Jackson, Sam (Randie) Jackson; eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; two step grandchildren; two step great grandchildren, and one sister, Shirley Cope. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, David Lee Jackson on September 4, 2021; a daughter, Connie Sue Jeremias; one great grandchild; one brother, Dennis Pickering, and two sisters, Martha Hancock and Betty Rollo.
 
Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 30, 2025 at Lucasville Cemetery in Lucasville. Arrangements are under the direction of Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford. Online condolences may be sent to www.edafh.com.
