Betty Bowman Obituary

Betty Jean Bowman, 83, of Portsmouth, passed away Monday, August 25, 2025 at her residence peacefully with her family. She was born July 20, 1942 in West Portsmouth, a daughter of the late George and Madilyn Ruth Grandin, and owned and operated a restaurant.

She is survived by four children, Charles Wesley Bowman, Florence (David) Pantele, Brenda (Mike) Harkless, Ruth Parker; her grandchildren, Erika Marie Lytle, Amber Payton, Davey Pantele, Jacob Fetty, Chelsea Hickman, Marshall Hatch, Shyann Parker Caudill, Sierra Parker, Levi Harkless; many great grandchildren, and one brother, George Grandin. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Bowman on November 22, 2010; one brother, Earl Grandin, and one sister, Donna Grandin.
