Carolyn Ann Cordle

Carolyn Ann Cordle, 70, of Minford, passed away Sunday, August 4, 2024 at her residence and was welcomed into her heavenly home with her husband, Dewey Cordle whom she married April 17, 1970.  She had longed to be reunited with him since his passing on August 21, 2015. She was born September 2, 1953 in Huntington, West Virginia, to the late Harold and Lillian Hughes Smith. Carolyn had many jobs in her life and worked hard throughout her years to always provide for her family. She loved cooking and most definitely loved a clean house, but she loved her family fiercely and if you talked to her you would definitely hear the words “blessed & thankful” in your conversation. She will be missed by all.

Carolyn is survived by one son, Dewey Cordle, II (Katie Hawkins); two daughters, Tracy (Ted) Cooper, Diane (Ross) Wagner; eight grandchildren, Eli, Adam, Ethan, Josie, Corey, Cortney, Taylor, Riley; one great granddaughter, Anastasia; one sister, Linda (Adrian) Finch; two brothers-in-law, Roger Langley, Roy Williams, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her loving husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Harold Smith, Jr., and two sisters, Sharon Langley and Deborah Williams.

Funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, August 8, 2024 at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford with Jack Northup officiating. Burial will be in Bennett Cemetery in Minford. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday and one hour prior to the service on Thursday. Online condolences may be sent to www.edafh.com.
