Darlene Bayes Melvin Moore

Darlene Bayes Melvin Moore, 93, of Minford, Ohio died March 7, 2025, at SOMC Hospice. Born January 11, 1932, in New Boston, Ohio to John and Sarah Lilvia Bayes.

Survived by husband, Emanuel (Bob) Moore (married September 6, 1997). Also survived by children: Stephen Melvin, Vicki Melvin, and Karen Casey; grandchildren: Justin (Jayna) Melvin, Bret (Kacie) Melvin, Jacklyn Waters, and Jonmichael Chambers; and six great grandchildren.

Preceded in death by parents; husband, Jack B. Melvin (married January 11, 1950); siblings, Geneva Shoemaker Rucker, George Douglas Bayes, and Velma Bradbury; and daughter-in-law, Marsha Melvin.

She was a graduate of Minford High School and Ohio University; a homemaker; a Candy Run United Baptist Church member (baptized in 1952); a Minford Primary School Teacher for 27 years; and a member of Minford Alumni Committee, Ohio Retired Teachers Association, and Alpha Delta Kappa Teaching Sorority.
