Darwin Lee Brigner, Sr.

Darwin Lee Brigner, Sr., 73 of Lucasville, passed away on Monday, July 26, 2021 at his home. Darwin was born in Pike County, Ohio, to the late Clyde and Betty Katherine (Napier) Brigner on March 2, 1948.  He married Betty Lou (Colegrove) Brigner on October 21, 1966.

He was preceded in death by his father, Clyde Brigner and mother, Betty Katherine (Napier) Brigner; one sister, Jill Whitley; one nephew, Christopher Bailey; several brothers and sisters in law; Mark Bailey, Tommy and Evelyn Colegrove, Charles Colegrove and Walter and Grace Rider.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Lou (Colegrove) Brigner; one son Darwin (Andrea) Brigner, Jr. of Lucasville; one daughter, Marlena (Greg) Shook of Chillicothe; one granddaughter, Britany (Matt) Gallimore of Pulaski, Virginia; step grandson, Derek (Brittany) Spencer; step great granddaughters, Carley and Amelia; three precious great granddaughters, that he loved beyond words, Alexa, Keyliana, Zabryella McGrail; three brothers, Steve Brigner, Nick (Janet) Brigner, Mike Brigner; one sister, Jayne Bailey; brother and sister in law, Jerry and Mary Colley, who were not only family, but neighbors and special friends; other neighbors; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, many cousins, family and friends that he loved each and every one. He never met a stranger.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 31, 2021 at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford, with Pastor Walter Rider, Jr. officiating.  Burial will be in Salisbury Cemetery near Stockdale.   Friends may call at the funeral home from noon until 2:00 p.m. Saturday.
