Helen "Christine" Cook

Helen “Christine” Cook, 89 of Portsmouth passed away Tuesday, May 3, 2022 at her residence. She was born April 13, 1933 in Portsmouth, a daughter of the late Gatewood and Marguerite Twinam Webb.  She attended Minford High School, class of 1951.  She attended Portsmouth Business College, worked at Western Southern and later became a homemaker.  She attended Minford United Methodist Church. Christine was a loving and dedicated mother and grandmother.  She loved to garden.
 
She is survived by two sons, Phillip (Beth) Cook, Mark (DeNise) Cook; two daughters, Mary Lynn (Leslie) Staker, Lisa (David) Heins; six grandchildren, Craig (Amber) Cook, Heather (Noah) Shirey, Shaun Cook, Lakin (Kyle) Shelpman, Eric Cook, Kierston Heins; seven great grandchildren, Landon Shelpman, Saige Shelpman, Olivia Shelpman, Kinsley Cook, Connor Cook, Grant Shirey, Graham Shirey, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Wayne Keith Cook on October 23, 2001; one brother, Russell Webb, and one sister, Elizabeth Lynwood Bond. 
 
Funeral services will be at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, May 7, 2022 at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford with Pastor Dennis Bell officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Burial Park in Wheelersburg. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. prior to the service. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Minford United Methodist Church, P.O.
