Lois Jean Dodridge-McElwee, 75, of Circleville passed away Wednesday, August 12, 2020 at OSU Medical Center. Born March 27, 1945 in Scioto County, a daughter of the late Arnold J. and Opal L. Childers Dodridge, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by three sons, Bryon McElwee of Bainbridge, Brad (Johnna) McElwee of Hillsboro, Brent McElwee of Blanchester; one daughter, Lisa Snodgrass of Blanchester; two stepsons, Doug (Kathy) McElwee of Bainbridge, Donnie (Karen) McElwee of Sinking Springs; 16 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; three brothers, Bob Dodridge, Jim (Rowena) Dodridge, Randy (Sherry) Dodridge; four sisters, Nancy (Tim) Bost, Linda (Kelly) Agin, Eva (Stanley) Robbins, Debbie (Malcolm) Schoener, and many nephews and nieces. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald McElwee; four brothers, Don, David, Gerald and John Dodridge; two sisters, Joanne Dodridge, Anna Lucas; one stepson, John McElwee; a son-in-law, James Snodgrass, and one great grandchild.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, August 15, 2020 at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford with Malcolm Schoener officiating. Burial will be at Jacobs Cemetery in Lucasville. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. Per CDC guidelines and governor recommendations, everyone is asked to wear a mask while indoors and practice proper social distancing procedures and guidelines.
