Markus Timothy Lott, 66, of Minford, passed away Friday, May 10, 2024 at SOMC Hospice. He was born September 26, 1957 in Portsmouth, a son of the late Herschel and Betty Bell Lott, he was the owner and operator of Benjamin Franklin Plumbing and Lott’s Plumbing, and attended The Way Church.
As a person he was known for his love for his family, his incredible sense of humor and adventurous heart. He was an entrepreneur, scuba diver, pilot, family man, handyman, and a great friend.
He is survived by his wife, Janice Wheeler Lott; two children, Markus (Ashley) Lott, II, Brittany (Zack) Stephens; four grandchildren, Alec Lott, Marshall Lott, Eli Stephens, Aly Stephens; three sisters, Jane (David) Adkins, Diana (Tom) Marsh, Kathy (Danny) Thompson; one brother, Stephen Lott; his mother-in-law, Shirley Wheeler; three sisters-in-law, Carol Porter, Carolyn (Franklin) Crabtree, Dianna (John) Reedy, and three brothers-in-law, Leonard R. “Lenny” (Becky) Wheeler, Steven Wheeler, and Lee (Jodi) Wheeler.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 14, 2024 at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford with Zack Stephens and Andy Day officiating. Burial will be in Mault Cemetery.
