Niccole Renee Chandler-Wright

Niccole Renee Chandler-Wright, 29 of Portsmouth passed away Saturday, May 22, 2021 after a battle with cancer. Born December 30, 1991 in Jacksonville, North Carolina, a daughter of David and Debra Nourse Chandler, she was a teacher at CAO Head Start, she loved to crochet and was of the Methodist faith. She was a 2010 graduate of Clay High School, was a 2017 graduate of Shawnee State University with a degree in early childhood education.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Gregory Wright; one daughter, Kaia Marie Wright; one brother, Nathan Chandler, and her grandfather, Michael Chandler.  She was preceded in death by her grandmothers, Mildred Nourse, Dianne Pennington; aunts, Barbara Nourse, Connie Doerr, and one brother in infancy, Joshua David Chandler.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, May 27, 2021 at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford with Pastor Bob Davis officiating. Burial will be at Universal Cemetery in Rubyville. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday and one hour prior to the service on Thursday.
