Phyllis Ann Bays

Phyllis Ann Bays, 84, of Blue Rock, Ohio, passed away Friday, July 19, 2024 at her residence. She was born February 7, 1940 in Jackson County, Ohio, a daughter of the late Phil and Ona Shoemaker Meldick, and was a former secretary for Nationwide Insurance Company.

She is survived by two sons, Brian Bays, Steven Bays; two grandchildren, Steven Bays, Jr., Amanda (Ross) Haire; three great grandchildren, Connor Haire, Hudson Haire, Hunter Haire; one brother, Harold Meldick, and one sister, Shirley Sharp. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Bays on April 20, 2005, and one son, Ronald Bays.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 24, 2024 at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford with Cline Rawlins officiating. Burial will be at Fairmount Cemetery in Jackson.
