Phyllis Lauderback

Phyllis Lauderback, 89, of Minford passed away Thursday, January 21, 2021 at SOMC Hospice. Born May 8, 1931 in Boyd County, Kentucky, a daughter of the late William F. and Pauline Salyer Salyers, she was a LPN scrub nurse for Scioto Memorial Hospital. Phyllis was a member of Westwood United Baptist Church in Westwood, Kentucky.

She is survived by two sons, Kenneth (Pam) Lauderback, and Gordon (Debbie) Lauderback; one daughter, Cindy Smith; eight grandchildren, Brian Smith, Amy Pennington, Ben Lauderback, Wes Lauderback, Nick Flaig, Laura Boldman, Katie Kilgour, and Clint Lauderback; 16 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; three brothers, William (Ettie) Salyers, Larry (Wanda) Salyers, and Ronnie Salyers; her step-mother, Muriel Salyers, and a brother-in-law, Harry “Frank” Lavender. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, of 41 years Warren C. Lauderback on January 26, 1992; her daughter, Melinda Lauderback Hutchinson; two brothers, Donald Salyers, and Phillip Salyers; two sisters, Joyce Smith, and Janet Lavender; one son-in-law, Dave Smith, and two great granddaughters, Haley Jo and Briana Hope.

The family would like thank Elbrooke Pavilion for their excellent care for the past 6+ years and SOMC Hospice.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 24, 2021 at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford with Elder Larry Salyers officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Franklin Furnace. Friends may call at the funeral home from Noon to 2:00 p.m. Sunday prior to the service. Per CDC guidelines and governor recommendations, everyone is asked to wear a mask and practice proper social distancing procedures and guidelines.
