Ralph Darrold “Jiggs” Frazie, 91, of Minford, passed away Friday, March 19, 2021 at Hill View Retirement Center in Portsmouth.
Born April 25, 1929 in Scioto Furnace, Scioto County, a son of the late Nathan and Della (Brown) Frazie, he was a retired business owner and a Baptist minister for many years. He started out as youth pastor for South Webster Baptist Church and then pastored Decatur Baptist, Fairview Missionary Baptist and Waits Missionary Baptist Churches, and was an Air Force veteran.
He is survived by 5 sons, Danny (Lynne) Frazie, Mark Frazie, Jeff Frazie, David (Kim) Frazie, Philip (Amy) Frazie; blessed with many grandchildren and great grandchildren; a sister, Doris Miller and a niece whom he and Dodie reared, Elaine Martin.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wives, Dolores R. “Dodie”(Thompson) Frazie on September 21, 1996, and Roberta “Jeanie” Lyon Frazie on April 1, 2016; brothers, Earl Frazie, Clifford Frazie, Russell Frazie, Nathan Frazie, Jr., Virgil Frazie; sisters, Thelma Johnson, Goldie Martin, Bessie Belcher, and Wanda Day.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 23, 2021 at Waits Baptist Church with Pastor Brent Saxton and Evangelist David Frazie officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Burial Park in Wheelersburg. Friends may call at the Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the church.
