Sherlyene "Kay" Rice

Sherlyene Kay Rice, 71 of Minford passed away Monday, April 25, 2022 at her residence. She was born December 18, 1950 in Scioto County, a daughter of the late Guy and Hazel Marie Patrick Rice. Sherlyene was a retired school teacher, she taught Chemistry at West Portsmouth and chemistry and computers at Clay High School and was a member of Swauger Valley Free Will Baptist Church.

She is survived by two brothers, Darryl (Denise) Rice, David (Georgetta) Rice; her niece, Charity Price; great nephew, Max Price; great niece, Madalynn Price, and three special friends, Mary Jo Pfleger, Patty Cline, and Arlette Munion.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, April 28, 2022 at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford with Pastor Mike Simpson officiating. Burial will be in Bennett Cemetery in Minford. Friends may call at the funeral home from Noon to 1:00 p.m. Thursday prior to the service. Online condolences may be sent to www.edafh.com.
