Viola L. Brumfield
Obituary
Viola L. Brumfield, 84 of Minford, passed away Friday, April 7, 2023 at Hill View Retirement Center in Portsmouth. She was born January 4, 1939 in Kentucky, a daughter of the late Pleas and Sylvia Lyon Fyffe. She was a homemaker, Sales Clerk at Marting’s Department Store and attended Minford Bible Baptist Church.
She is survived by one daughter, Julie (Chris) Downey; one son, Jeff (Wendy) Lewis; ten grandchildren, Molly Downey, Gavin Downey, Ellie Downey, Keith Lewis, Jennifer Warnock, Ryan Lewis, Kyle Lewis, Amber Lewis, Owen Lewis, Karli Lewis; seven great grandchildren, and two sisters, Florence Myers and Gwen Trout. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Brumfield on December 13, 2013; one son, Randy Lewis, and two sisters, Beatrice Penix, and Leatrice Dawson.
Funeral services will be conducted at Noon Monday, April 10, 2023 at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford with Pastor Brett McGraw officiating. Burial will be in Bennett Cemetery in Minford.
